Dear Midwest District FOCA Members and Orthodox Christians in the Midwest: On behalf of Chapter 94, I would like to formally invite you to the 2007 FOCA Midwest District Bowlvention – “Strike it Rich in Minneapolis” to be held October 5-7 in the “City of Lakes” Minneapolis, Minnesota! Over the weekend district representatives, members, families, and friends will have an opportunity to participate in our meeting, bowling tournament, and try their luck in “Casino Night” following the Awards Banquet Saturday evening. Participants will also be able to see the Minneapolis sites, gather in fellowship, and participate in the liturgical services. The deadline for lodging, tournament registration, ads, and event tickets is Friday, September 7, 2007. Checks should be made payable to St. Mary’s O’ Club and sent to: One of the main goals of Bowlvention 2007 is to keep everything local. We have chosen the Town Place Suites in Minneapolis’ Warehouse District as our hotel, bowling will be at Elsie’s Bowling Center across the Mississippi River in Northeast Minneapolis; only minutes away from St. Mary’s Cathedral where we will gather for the Saturday Vespers, the Awards Banquet, Casino Night, Divine Liturgy, and a farewell breakfast Sunday morning after church.
