On behalf of St. Mary’s Orthodox Cathedral, welcome to our 125th Anniversary celebration

The community of historic St Mary's Orthodox Cathedral in northeast Minneapolis has been dedicated to common prayer and ministries of pastoral care, education, service and fellowship since 1887; and is the mother church of Eastern Orthodoxy in Minnesota, western Wisconsin and the Dakotas.

St. Mary’s Orthodox Cathedral has played a significant role in the religious history of the United States and Russian Orthodoxy from the late 19th century until the present day; and continues to make an important contribution to the spiritual and material needs of new immigrants, the local community and its members.

St. Mary’s Orthodox Cathedral is committed to continuing to be a fruitful, positive presence in the Twin Cities.
